DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Dog Day with us at Critz Farms! This year\, we are excited to host our first ever dog party in honor of your four-legged best friends. This free event will feature dog activities\, a dog parade\, and a dog talent show! Various local rescue organizations will be joining us too! Please consider bringing a donation to support these great organizations. Wish list items include: dog food\, cat food\, treats\, toys\, kong toys\, kitty litter\, towels & bedding (new or used)\, cleaners\, and monetary donations. \n\n\n\nWe will also have Rosie’s Place serving food from 12-6pm and some other fun vendors and activities for your dog. All friendly dogs on leash are welcome to join us (there will be some off-leash opportunities too). \n\n\n\nDog Days Schedule: \n\n\n\n12:00 pm – Tap Room opens\, Rosie’s Place serving food (12-6pm) \n\n\n\n1:00 pm – Dog activities start including walking trails\, off leash area\, pools\, and more. Sign up your dog for the talent show by the main stage. \n\n\n\n2:00 pm – Dog parade around the farm begins. Ends at the main stage for our first ever talent show! \n\n\n\n2:30 pm – Dog talent show – Sign up your dog and show off their talents. There will be prizes & bragging rights for the top three dogs. \n\n\n\n3:30/ 4:00 pm – End of dog talent show – prizes given! \n\n\n\n6:00 pm – Tap Room closes \n\n\n\nRescue Organizations include: Country Acres Animal Shelter\, Wanderer’s Rest\, B & R Bunkhouse\, Helping Hounds Dog Rescue\, Rover’s Do Overs\, and POWERful Paws Animal Rescue. \n\n\n\nVendors include: Sigh of Relief Walk and Train Services\, Luxury Links\, Sloppy Kisses Dog Treats\, and Studio 26 Creations. \n\n\n\nA little background on National Dog Day: National Dog Day celebrates all dogs\, mixed breed and pure. Our mission is to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives\, keep us safe and bring comfort. Dogs put their lives on the line every day…for personal protection\, for law enforcement\, for the disabled\, for our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs and pulling victims of tragedy from wreckage\, now they’re detecting cancer and seizures…things even humans cannot do. Tap Room will all be open for your relaxation and shopping pleasure. Did you know that Critz Farms is one of the ONLY Christmas tree farms with a farm brewery onsite in the U.S.? Pretty cool! \n\n\n\nBring the family (& the dog) and enjoy the day–  as a reminder\, there is no admission fee to visit Critz Farms. \n\n\n\nCan’t make it on the weekend? We are open daily for tree and wreath sales. Wagon rides available Wednesday through Sunday. Our Gift Shop and Tap Room are open daily as well. The cafe is only open on weekends during tree season. Our last day for the season will be Tuesday\, December 17th.

This event is perfect for both beginners and seasoned artists. \n\n\n\nTalented artist\, Katherine Ball McGinnis (@creationsbykbm)\, will guide you step-by-step to create your own masterpiece\, while you enjoy sipping on your favorite beverage and having fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails\n\n\n\nThe workshop will begin at 6:00 pm in our tap room. We invite you to arrive early to get your drinks and settle in before class. We will have charcuterie plates and snacks for purchase. Instruction will begin promptly at 6:30pm. \n\n\n\nOn June 10\, we will be creating a peaceful country barn painting using acrylic on canvas. \n\n\n\nClass is $38 per person and includes materials\, instruction\, and your first drink.

This race is for you! \n\n\n\nJoin us on Sunday\, June 22\, 2025 at 10:00am for an exciting new event that features the amazing scenery and landscape of Critz Farms! \n\n\n\nCritz Farms includes approximately 350 acres of land 3.5 miles south of scenic Route 20\, Cazenovia\, NY\, in Madison County. Most of the Critz Farms lands are now permanently protected through the NYS Farmland Protection Program\, to remain forever development-free and available for agricultural purposes. This beautiful Central New York farm is less than 30 minutes from the Syracuse area. We are excited to announce that the local charity for this event will be the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation (CPF)! \n\n\n\nCritz Farms ales and ciders are truly handcrafted from start to finish\, beginning with the cider apples\, grown right on their farm.
