Look for a tree...Find a tradition... at Critz Farms!

Pack the family into the car and come out to the farm on a nice winter day. Once at the farm, climb on the wagon and take a scenic ride through our acres of Christmas trees. In the field you can pick just the right tree for your family from our selection of over 45,000 trees. Just cut down your tree with the saw we provide, drag it to the tractor path, and the tractor will come back and pick up you and your tree. Our well organized tagging system makes it easy! Back at the barn, our employees will bale your tree and put it in a safe place while you take your part of the tag up to the gift shop to pay. Then warm up and have a snack in the Critz Café, or browse in the Balsam Barn Gift Shop. When you are ready to go, drive up to the loading area with your half of the tree tag and one of our employees will retrieve your tree and tie it on your car for you. Now isn't picking out a Christmas tree sounding a lot less painful and a lot more fun?

Any white pine, white spruce, and other trees cut from specific select field blocks are offered at this discounted price. Ask for details when you visit.

All other cut-your-own are $39.95 for for any size! (We are no longer charging an additional fee for trees over 8.5 feet.)

We also have an enormous selection of freshly harvested trees uniquely displayed in our historic barn. These trees are grown right here on our permanently protected Cazenovia farmland, so you can count on your tree being fresh and locally grown, even if you don't cut it yourself! We have tabletop trees to 12 footers - - so we'll surely have the tree for you!

Wreaths of all sizes, from 20 - 60 inches, are also available. These fresh Adirondack balsam wreaths are made daily, right here on the farm. Traditional 22-24" wreaths make the perfect gift to far-away friends and family can be shipped anywhere in the US. Order now!

Decorate your home or office with fresh garland (roping) available in a variety of lengths. Christmas tree stands and other holiday decorating items can be found in the Balsam Barn Gift Shop.

Critz Farms is open 7 days a week during the Christmas season. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wagon rides to the cut-your-own fields are offered on Wednesday through Friday during the week beginning at 12:00 noon. Folks can walk to the cut-your-own fields at other times. On weekends, wagon rides are offered from 9:00 a.m. until dark, but the farm remains open daily until 6:00pm. The Critz Café, our full service food cafe, is open on the weekends only from 9-5.

Did you know....?

We also sell our farm fresh trees in Syracuse! If you can't make it out to the farm, but still want a gorgeous, locally grown Critz Farms tree, visit our tree lot in the Shop City Plaza at the corner of Teall Ave. and Grant Blvd. in Syracuse. The lot is open in early December , from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. (Same great service too!).
